Andreas is considered a veteran in the world of digital business. With 20 years experience in e-commerce, Andreas has contributed substantially to the success of international online stores, digital marketing startups and has served in mobile commerce as well as omnichannel since day one.
Prior to founding commerce guru Andreas held the position of Senior Business Development Manager at SHOPGATE - the leading mobile commerce platform. Based in Zurich/Switzerland and Palo Alto/USA, Andreas helped building a strong customer base in the DACH (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) region while introducing Shopgate to the US market.
In an interim role as Country Manager for the DACH region at OLAPIC (acquired by Monotype) - the leader in visual marketing with user generated content - Andreas introduced Olapic’s content engine to the DACH Market. In this role he worked with customers like Montblanc, Tally Weijl, s.Oliver, Timberland, Thomas Sabo, Wolford and Zalando on their ambitious visual content projects.
MINODES (acquired by Telefónica NEXT) - a Berlin-based startup offering state-of-the-art retail analytics and omnichannel retargeting solutions - was the next step. As an interim manager Andreas supported the DACH key account management team reaching the aggressive goals of their customers.
The most recent project was the relaunch of ESCADA. As an interim manager Andreas held the position of Global Head of E-Commerce Operations & Business Development at the luxury brand’s head office in Munich. The project involved the international relaunch of ESCADA.COM in 19 countries throughout Europe and ESCADA.US in the US as well as establishing the formerly outsourced e-commerce business processes in-house.
